CHAKA, 13, and his older sister HADJARA, 18, are forced to leave their poor parents to live with their uncle. To survive in Abidjan, the young girl finds a job, but CHAKA, too young to work, is enticed by his friend TIMO who introduces him to KOUESS, a gang leader. Despite his sister's pleas, Chaka gets involved with Timo and KOUESS in vandalism and violence. CHAKA strives to earn a reputation as a ruthless kingpin. But his ambition attracts the wrath of KOUESS, who resents his frequent insubordinations.
